In the circle of BL series actors, if we want to talk about the trend of couples that are still popular without stopping, it can't be without Earth Piraphat Wattanasetsiri and Mix Sahaphap Wongrat since debuting as an on-screen couple in the series A Tale of Thousand Stars, the popularity of this 2 young men always been the topic that people talking about. Recently, both of them returned to work together in the series again in "Moonlight Chicken"

FEED had a conversation with both of them. About life path and the future that they envisioned Including the work of the recent series.

 

The feeling of bringing your life into the entertainment industry

Earth: I feel thankful for myself for coming to work in the industry. To meet Mix, to meet everyone, who is with me right now. They give me a lot of love. I feel so proud that I have them with me.

Mix: Similar to P'Earth, I started from being a veterinary student. Then one day I came to work in the entertainment industry. It's like changing the path of life into another career. And it's nice to meet everyone. I met my fans, met lovely colleagues. I'm glad that I met everyone. Thank you very much for everyone's love for me.

 

How satisfied with yourself are you?

Earth: Right now (thinking) if you ask me whether or not I'm satisfied? To be frank, not yet. I want to work in this industry. No matter if it's series, movies, plays, or singing. I want to..how they call it.. …

Mix: It's not covered everything yet, right?

Earth: Yes, I want to do more. Show my abilities to others more.

Mix: For Mix, actually it's similar to P'Earth. It's not that I'm not proud right now. But I feel like there are so many things that I haven't done. I want to work in a stage play. I want to work in movies, in drama. I might not have a chance to do it yet. I still have so many things I want to do such as being an MC. I haven't done everything. If I have a chance, if my skills are good enough and they saw my potential and give me an opportunity, I'm going to be happy and I will do the best I can.

 

Are you successful in life now?

Mix: Am I successful yet? Now for me. I think that I'm already successful. I feel like I have fulfilled what I want to do. I fulfilled my expectations. It was a small dream when I was a child that one day I will be in a series. And today I have reached this point. I'm pleased. When I first entered the university. My mother used to say after she finished watching the drama, she wanted to see her child in it. And then one day, I did it, and my mother had already seen it. I feel like I'm already successful.

Earth: For me, I think it's a success to some extent. The other thing is my expectations. I would like to work on other projects whether it's singing, or just like what Mix said, the stage play, the real stage play. I felt like I wanted to step up to that point. And I will do the best of my abilities. This is my expectation.

 

A big obstacle in life

Earth: The biggest obstacle? It's myself because when I do something I concentrate on doing it so much. This concentration affects me when I act. It made me look uncomfortable to act. because I have too much concentration. I think I need to relax more. This is what I feel, my obstacle is myself.

Putting pressure on myself, expecting myself to be perfect. I must play well, must sing well, must show well. And when it doesn't reach the point that I expect. I went home and think back, why I didn't do that, why don't I do it like that? I'm trying to train myself to be good in all aspects. As an actor, an artist. For all my life, I never thought that I would become an actor. So, I want to do it to the fullest. When I put pressure on myself expecting too much of myself. It's shown to the others that I was uncomfortable. This is what I'm trying to improve.

Mix.: For me, is more about insecurity Actually, I'm very self-confident. I'm a person who always shows what I truly am. I cannot try to be as such. But one thing that I can't fix is my insecurities. When I'm insecure, I'll shiver, have cold hands, and I'll stay still. This is what I am every time I encounter difficult things in my life. Whether it's the first series filming, the first day, or the first shooting. I froze, I couldn't act, I couldn't do anything. When I performed at the concert, I froze, I didn't know what to do. My first event, or when I'm being a host for the first time. When I try doing it for the first time, I have no confidence at all. And for the next time, I knew I have already been through it once. So It going to be ok this time. But I still try to make it better. In the end, the insecurity took place deep in my heart and I hope that one day I will get over it. I will overcome this obstacle.

 

The next step for Earth-Mix

Earth: For this one, I still don't know.

Mix: That's right (laughs) I can't think of this one too, to be honest.

Earth: I feel like when I got a project, every work that I got. I try to do my best in all of them, whether it's singing, dancing, showing, or acting in a series. I do my best with everything. I don't care whether it's going to give me an opportunity in any next projects or not. I just focus on doing my best with the project in front of me. And I will build on it from there. Other than that it's a by-product. So I didn't think about what the next step must be like. I'm not thinking about that. I just want my work to be the talk of the town and to be memorable.

Mix: For me actually because I'm still young in this work. And I just entered the industry not too long ago. In fact, every day my step is to focus on working, doing all the work. But if you asked what is my next step? I feel like it would be a balance between daily life and work. Which now I admit that I give more to work. I haven't taken care of myself that much. But if one day I have to look further to another step. When I'm at the point where I can fulfill and satisfy with my work. I would probably find a point where I can fulfill my own life more.

 

Does veterinary image still exist?

Mix: It hasn't been deleted yet. But now there are two images. Oh, there are three images. first I'm a veterinarian, second I will continue being an actor. But might be in another role.  I want to try another role, villain, or something like that. Third, I want to do business. I have something that I really want to do, which is a restaurant. I'm a food lover and I genuinely want to open a restaurant. But now it's all in my head, another step I might be able to do it.

Life in the spotlight

Mix: When we're in the center of the light, it makes me more considerate. The people who look at me come from all ages. If kids look at me, I have to be aware of what I do. It's like, I have to think about everything. Do everything more carefully. Sometimes I might think what I do is okay. But some people might not think so. Therefore, I must think carefully about it. I need to think for others, not just from my perspective. As I grew up, I learned more. In the past, when I was young, sometimes I made some mistakes. Now that I look back, I learned from it and I won't do it again. In fact, all of my fans are the one who always teaches me. I always check feedback. When I'm in the center of the light I want to know if sometimes I did something bad or not. So I look at the feedback and learn from it if it's wrong, so I will not repeat the same mistake again.  This is what I got from being a person in the spotlight. It's what I've learned. As P' Earth said. It gives us a better understanding of the world. and be more kind to others

Earth: The main thing that I got is that when I work in the spotlight, it has both advantages and disadvantages. I have heard this saying.  "Actor/Actress is a profession that sells privacy but doesn't sell our soul" I like this saying very much. I feel like we have to give and take with anything. I'm in the spotlight, I have to sell my privacy anyway. But one thing that I feel like I don't want to sell is my soul. Because I decided to become an actor, to play series, to sing. The first thing that I won't let it disappear is myself.

From "A Tale of Thousand Stars" to "Moonlight Chicken" with the perfect Director.

Earth: P'Aof (Noppanat Chaiwimon) is a director with a distinct signature. Whether it's the story, the songs that are used in the series, and the story that is quite layered, more than 1, more than 2, there will be 3 4 5 layers. It's like climbing up the stair or something like this. This is P'Aof's charm. His series is quite unique. Let's say it's a BL series, he'll do it gradually, slowly, slowly moving the relationship. There are also many conflicts among the characters in the story, which is P'Aof's signature. I used to be afraid of P' Aof in A Tale of Thousand Stars. I didn't talk to P' Aof at all because I was afraid of being scolded. I feel like P'Aof's face is already stressed out., am I not doing well? When the shooting stopped, I just sat in my seat. Didn't go to see P'Aof, I was afraid of him for a while. Until one day he sent me a message saying that in part when he is working, he is the director. But apart from work, he is also our older brother all the time. Because of this word, I cried out. It unlocks many things in me. At that time, I was so stressed and felt a lot of pressure for this role, and I also thought that I wasn't doing a good job. When I saw his message, I felt that he was our older brother that always support me in everything, whether personal matters or work matters. He didn't seem to be angry with me at all. I feel like he's truly the perfect director.

Mix: It's similar to P'Earth. P'Aof is not just someone in our life that we respect as a director. He was the one who taught me many things in life, the one who taught me to enter the entertainment industry. He was the one who taught me what is series, and what is acting. He is someone who has given me a lot of opportunities in life. As for my life behind the scenes when I have something heavy weight on my heart? The first person I turned to is P'Aof. And every time I have a problem, I will talk to him first. He will give me an answer that does not just from my perspective but it's from other people's perspectives too. He was the one who made me understand the world better. And I'm very glad that this time I came back to work with him. I never know how many times in my life I will be able to work with the same director again. And this time, I would like to thank P'Aof for choosing me and P'Earth to play in this series.

How is the character in "Moonlight Chicken"?

Earth: I play the role of Uncle Jim who sells chicken rice in a community outside the city. It's a bit rural. He's a kind person but he closes himself in matters of love. At the same time, there is someone ready to give him love all the time. But he always refused it.

Mix: I play the role of Wen. He is the person who entered Uncle Jim's diner and has a one-night stand. But there's actually a deeper story behind that one-night stand. Whether I'm in a relationship with another person or not? Whether that relationship already ended or not? And one day I want to start over with Uncle Jim. When I still have unfinished business with many things. It was about a person who wanted to find love. Find a home for myself. This is what I see from my point of view. It is a person who wants to find his own happy home. Then one day, I met him, it started from a one-night stand and then it developed into something. I would like for everyone to watch my relationship that started from a one-night stand. For my part, how will it be?

Earth: I feel like the charm of this story is that each character has its own background story. And it interestingly tells each person's story. The charm of night people, people in the community, people in the neighborhood around Uncle Jim's shop. It comes to life. We can see all of those people around us. It's really realistic. I think everyone can feel this story, It's interesting.

The working atmosphere on the set

Earth: Good, very good. Let's talk about Fourth and Gemini first. They are a new actor. But he is very talented, his eyes, and his inner feeling are all fully delivered. Sometimes a young actor will be nervous when acting with seniors. But for him, he wasn't nervous at all. He can deliver the script immediately and full of emotions. I really respect Nong Fourth. As for Gemini had to play the role of a hearing impaired. He had to learn more sign language. which is difficult. Think in words but you have to use your hands as well. It requires a lot of memory. I feel like Gemini really respects people with hearing disabilities. He's very respectful. He truly understands and would like to present how people with hearing disabilities feel and how they want to be loved.

Mix: Forth is a kid that really should be an actor. He has the eyes of an actor. His eyes are stubborn, clear, and communicated his feeling very well. In fact, I had very few scenes with him. But when I went to see him act with Earth, or was it the scene that act with me? He delivered the feeling very well, although this is his second series. When you see every part, it clearly shows that this person is talented. As for Gemini, the character is challenging. A person who use to speak normally and hear everything normally. But one day, he became ill and lost his hearing. It's difficult to communicate. Communication by Sign language is very difficult. It's hard to show everything without sound. from a person who uses sound throughout his life. It's a role that I definitely want to play. Seriously, I'd like to know what it's like. It would be very difficult. And he did it very well. As for First and Khaotung, actually, I met him in A Tale of Thousand Stars. I know that his skill is up on the top. Khaotung is really good at acting. But the person I'm surprised about is First, I've never worked with him before. But I'm his friend. Then one day we had a chance to work together. I know he is a very hard worker and a sensitive person. And most importantly, these two are my very dear friends. I'm very glad that one day I got to work with him. And working this time was very happy. Everyone is very determined including Mark and View. Everyone was absolutely working hard over this. Thank you for making this series come out. I'm so glad I could play a part in this series.

One Night Stand and NC Scene

Mix: At the beginning of the story, yes.

Earth: First of all, it starts with a one-night stand. So, it's not wrong, it's not unusual to open it with a love scene. Because of the love scene, drives Wen and Uncle Jim's characters into a pretty deep relationship. But with that depth, there is some conflict that makes these 2 people able or unable to continue walking together.

Mix: I feel like it has offered another perspective. It's another kind of love that started with a one-night stand. Normally, most of the love we experience is starting with flirting, talking, and dating. This is another form of love. To go through sex first. And then it makes us learn other aspects of each other. Then go on to learn more about relationships, feelings, and understanding each other.

Mix: I'm not shy at all, to be honest.

Earth: (nod) We act together for many series already. So, if we going to kiss, it's a real kiss. P'Aof wants ear biting scene. Other than that, we do it by ourselves. Whatever we want to do P'Aof let us do it.

Earth: The camera will follow our moves.

Mix: Whatever we want to act. Whatever we want to do, this and that we just do it. The camera will follow us.

What will the chicken rice restaurant bring you?

Earth: What will it bring you to? I feel that Mr. Jim's Chicken Rice Diner will take you to see the colors of night people, happiness, sadness, sorrow, joy, and displeasure. Every character has its own background. They live together as a family. But they are not a close-knitted family, and when they face each other who is from different generations, they're on a different sides of the topic. So, I feel like this is an interesting point of this series. This is the topic that should be talked about. An inconsistent relationship. So, it makes this series interesting

Mix: It allows us to meet with various forms of chicken rice. Each one is a different flavor of chicken rice. This is chicken rice with a lot of chilli. The other one with a lot of ginger. Another one came with a mild taste. But it's sweet and flavorful.
