This is a definition of an identity that appears to be a mixture of introverted and sociable behaviors, as the name 'Mix' Sahaphap Wongrat, as well as other aspects of the mix that is both in a science major, study veterinarian like to think logically but unintentionally got a chance to work in the entertainment industry. It takes both science and art to express the emotion in the performance. can combine his good skill and what he is not good at. Because a perfect life is a life in which all the elements are arranged in a balanced way.

childhood dreams

"I am from Lampang. Born in the house of a Bureaucrat. My mother runs her own business. But the person who takes care of me the most is my older sister. My sister and I are 9 years apart. I’m the benjamin of the family. My older sister, who is a smart and bold woman, takes care of me like a second mother. When I was a child, I didn't have many reputations because I was a nerd, neat, focused on studying, wearing glasses, and organizing course file folders. carry a file bag to class. Sometimes earning money from my love for studying, such as doing homework for friends. Oh, I’m just kidding, teaching homework to friends (laughs).

“As an introvert, when I was in school, I was a nobody. Not as famous as a star like everyone else, not doing activities, only focusing on studying. A child that is too afraid to speak. Didn’t dare to socialize. But I had a dream at that age. I want to be a journalist which goes against my shyness. I remember when I was young, my Grandma's house is an orchard. I always find a branch to use as a mic. Pretend to be a field reporter reporting on the situation. I like being a reporter, and a presenter, still wonder how did I become an actor.

Veterinary path

"To be honest, I studied science. But when I have to choose the exam to go to university, I was still not sure what exactly I want to study. So, I chose two things: A veterinarian because we love animals. Choosing it as my first choice. The rest were all accounts majors. Actually, I'm better at math than science. I don't even think I'll go to the veterinarian. because my science score is average but I’m more confident in my math scores. I never imagined that I would get into the first choice that I chose."

"When I went to the university, it became like 'Oh!! you deceived me' (laughs) because the first year was very chill. I thought in my heart that this faculty was so good, easy to study, lots of free time. Only when I was in my 2nd year, studying anatomy, the subject start to be difficult to the point that I could not sleep. There's a lot to learn, tests often too, read books all the time. I'm the type that if I didn’t finish reading, I won't go to sleep. Actually I can study just enough to pass. But I feel bad if I haven't tried my best."

"I chose to major in small animals, dogs and cats. I thought I would do well with these kinds of animals. I’m probably not fit to live on the farm. The reptiles gave me goosebumps. The surface is soft and smooth. Being with dogs and cats is better, and not stressful."

"A veterinary career is a good career. But I still have other dreams that, for example, working in the entertainment industry, I want to take it seriously. Therefore, now a veterinarian may not be the ultimate dream. However, studying in this faculty, although it is tough, has a lot of content to study, plus I work and study at the same time. Until now thanks to a good friendship. My relationship with other students in the faculty is very good, everyone is ready to help and not abandon me. For my close friends, I’m very grateful. As for friends that I’m not that close to, they still always ask me how am I doing. Many times, they send LINE messages to me after finishing exams “hey, I'm cheering for you. You work while you study. You are really good.”  Study Veterinarian at Chulalongkorn is a very good memory in my life. I actually had a small dream. that I want to open a clinic. I have been studying for 6 years, but first I have to save some money a fund."

Unintentionally entering the entertainment industry

"Starting from high school, someone who owns a clothing store in Lampang saw me, he invited me to take pictures modeling for clothes. Then my manager, a friend of this person, approached me. Asked me to do a little magazine photo shoot in Bangkok. Then I start casting for ads. Someone invited me to play the series. I went to casting but didn't get the part. In my heart, I doesn't want to work in those dramas because I was studying really hard. Until I went to a casting for the series " A tale of thousand stars" P'Earth invites me. So I tried it. I want to know how to play in the series. How to act. It is the starting point for entering the entertainment industry fully."

"Honestly, in the first series, I didn't click with the acting at all. Probably because I'm still very new. I do not know anything at all. The director hasn't ordered the action yet. I've already played, and when he ordered a cut, I still didn't stop playing. At that time, it took me many tries to finish each scene. I still don't understand the art of acting. The first part of the shoot took place in Bangkok still can't act. Until we moved the location to the mountain. It was almost at the last scene when I got a grip on how to act. After A tale of thousand stars ended. I getting work continuously. I gradually tuned in with the acting more and more. Until Moonlight chicken series, I felt like I understood the world of acting. It's like opening the door to performing arts."

"I admitted that at the beginning when I entered the entertainment industry. I felt a bit uncomfortable. Basically, I’m an introverted person so it’s quite tiresome. I don’t know how to cope with it. Especially after working all day. I felt like I had used all my energy. When I arrived home I just sat still, didn’t move an inch, didn’t take a shower, just sat still for hours. At that time the question popped up in my mind. What am I doing? Am I ok with this work? It was the time that I still couldn’t adjust myself. But after I got through that period. I felt like I really love working in the entertainment industry. I’m happy with every work, no matter acting, mc, live, or interview and photo shoot like today. I want to work every day. Sure, when I work a lot, I get tired. But I’m still excited about what I will do tomorrow, what job will I have. Maybe it’s because I met friendly colleagues and a team. That’s why I enjoy working."

The right job with favorite experience

"I gave singing the song for Moonlight chicken series to be the work that I am most proud of. I got a chance to sing in Chinese. I used to study Chinese since high school, having studied it for 6 years, enough to know how to read Pinyin, and how to pronounce it. But there was also a workshop to prepare for this song as well. Another thing is that the song that we sang is the immortal song 'The moon represents my heart' by a famous singer Deng Lijun. I heard my mother play this song since I was young. When the mv is finished I sent it to my father, mother, and elder sister to watch it. I'm happy and proud.

"The most challenging role, I gave it to 'Win' role in the series Cupid's Last Wish. Win is not me at all. There are similarities, but I'm not that much of an energy person. Therefore, when filming, I had to use very high energy to play the role. It was also mostly filmed on location in other provinces. The weather was quite hot. It was really adventurous, quite brutal. It takes quite a lot of energy to work.”

“Look back, I’m surprised at myself for working in this industry for 3-4 years already. Although at first, I just wanted to gain experience, just curious about acting. Suddenly, for the first 2 years, I had to work almost every day. Looking at the schedule I didn’t have a day off at all. I was tired but happy. Also surprised by the popularity that I got. I didn’t think it would be that good. But after that, it was Covid-19. So, everything was shut down for a long time. (Laughs) Our destiny wasn’t written in stone. Whatever will be, will be. At least I got a chance to see an enormous amount of fanclub waiting for us, just 1 time that’s enough for me."

I have to thank P’Earth too. Because we knew each other before. So, it’s easy to work together. Especially in the last few years, we didn’t fight anymore. I must admit that in the beginning, we had to tune in with each other a bit. Because P’Earth and I look at things from different perspectives. I use reason and logic. But P’Earth uses more emotion. We had different reasons, so we have to find the balance point and meet in the middle. Combined reason and emotion. So lately we have nothing to fight about. Just nonsense bickering.”

Portraying characters

“The work that you have seen lately is Moonlight chicken. In this series, I play the role of 'Wen', I put myself in portraying this character. When casting for the role, they told me that I was very similar to this character, about 80%. He was honest with what his feeling. He is a complicated person. But be clear on what you want. He is also introverted. So I was very easily immersed in the script. Even some scenes I didn't have a part in. Watching other actors play, I still go home and feel deeply down.

"Another series that you will be able to watch soon is The Jungle, a love game, a hunter, a secret bar. I play the role of a bar owner. Have you ever watched Japanese cartoons? There will be one character who tells the story. like a god who knows everything I'm going to be a character like that, calm, not taking sides. Unbiased. The challenge is the character dimension, the complexity that I have to try to understand. I have to focus a lot. Please stay tuned for this series."

Unstoppable Ambition

" If it’s about skill, I want to practice singing more. Because I started quite late. I just discovered that I can sing. It’s not that great or talented. But my voice is ok and I didn’t sing off-key. Do they use this word? I’m not sure. My ear can catch the tone. Some people listen to a song but when they sing they sing off-key. I just realise that I’m not like that. I might be able to learn to sing. "

“Other thing that I want to do. I dream of opening a restaurant. I love food so I want to open a cafe, a restaurant by the sea. Someone I know has a land in Samui. I’m keeping an eye on it. If I can open a restaurant there will be great. There is the sea that I love and the mountain just like the place where I was born. It’s a perfect location for me. "

Identities that are 'mixed'

"I'm person who like to be funny. No matter how stressed or serious it is I would like to say it jokingly just for a second. If I’m stressed out or overthinking, I just make a joke to myself. And find someone to talk to or laugh with for a bit.

"My outstanding point would be quick-witted and do something fast, organize my life well enough. Because I like to plan ahead what I will do tomorrow, made to-do list. My weak point is that I can’t be with the same thing for a long time, get bored easily. I can’t eat the same food for more than two days. Or even if I go to the same restaurant, I won't order the same food. Traveling, I don't like travel to the same place that I have been to before. I like music and movies. But I can’t watch it more than two times.”

" There is one saying that my mom always said to me in the Northern Thai language. “Grownups have to endure it” I took that as a motto for my life. It means you are already a grownup you have to be patient, to endure everything. Life is short, don’t hurt anyone. Don’t hold a grudge. Sometimes I want to fight back too (laughs) but I have to hold it because I’m a grownup.”

"Besides, responsibility and mutual respect are what I hold on to in my work. No matter what you do, you must be responsible for what has been assigned. Always be considerate and respect others. This is what we should do to each other."

It’s dramatic or just looking from different perspectives? 

“Sometimes the heated topic might be from our own mistake. So we just have to accept and learn from it. Nothing is 100%wrong. Just looking at it from different perspectives. And it didn’t hurt if we try to look at it from other people's perspective. Try to put yourself in their shoe. It will reduce misunderstanding. We will learn not to make the same mistake again. And do it better."

The year 2023 of Mix

"I want to focus on work. and many projects that I have been thinking about. In both business and work I want to do my best. And I want to go back and finish my studies. It's been 6 years. My friends already finished and I’m still studying. I want to accomplish what I set out to do."
